Sixteen schools have teams in both the men’s and women’s national basketball tournaments.
Gonzaga, a top seed in the men’s field, and its women, sixth among the women, have won 49 of 52 starts, while Baylor, with its men a No. 1 seed and its women second among the women, have combined for a 43-4 mark. Then there’s Connecticut as a No. 1 women’s seed combined with its No. 6 men’s team, winning 39 of 47 games.
The Alabama men, a second seed in the men’s field, and its seventh seeded women, have won 40 of fifty, and then there’s Michigan, a No. 2 men’s seed, and its women who are sixth in their field, owning a 34-9 record. Other top 10 schools in combined victories are West Virginia, Arkansas, UCLA, Georgia Tech, and Rutgers.
The others 64in both tournaments are Iowa, Syracuse, North Carolina, Michigan State, Oregon and Oregon State.
