Put away your pride and openly accept advice

“The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.”

Proverbs 12:15

Pay attention when your parents, siblings, family members, and friends are sharing their past faults. I’ve learned that these are great opportunities to learn. I love talking to older people because of their wisdom. They have been there, and they have done that. Learn from people. Doing so will save you in the future.

Most people who’ve made mistakes don’t want you to make the same mistakes, so they pour out wisdom to help you to learn. Also, learn from those in the Bible so you don’t commit the same sins.

Make sure that pride never overtakes you. Never say to yourself, “I would never fall into that sin.” We could easily fall into the same sin if we are not cautious and become prideful in our thinking. “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
