Working on self control

“A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”

Proverbs 25:28

When we fail at self control we are like a city without a wall… defenseless to our enemy. Whether it’s food or drink, emotions or action… all of these are harmful without self control. If we abuse any of these we not only hurt ourselves, but also the ones we love.

God Has Blessed us with His guidance in the Bible. We can turn to any book in Gods Word and find relatable advice on when and how to best exercise self control.

When we need an example… we can always turn to our ultimate example of self control Jesus Christ.

He humbled Himself and became man only to demonstrate self control over and over up until the point of death, resurrection and ascension all because He loves you and me.
