Santa Fe High hands visiting Los Alamos its first defeat

The Santa Fe High and Santa Fe Prep emerged with boys soccer victories Saturday, with the Demons edging previously undefeated Los Alamos, 3-2, and the Griffins shut down Capital, 2-0, at Jaguar Field, with both non-district games
For Santa Fe High, now 4-3, Evan Eadie came up with a goal and two assists, while Pablo Canivell added a pair of goals and Henry Kuchta had three saves on the defensive side. It was the first loss in four starts for the Hilltoppers, who play next on Thursday in the opening round of the Albuquerque Academy Invitational.
Meanwhile, the Demons hit the road Tuesday versus Albuquerque Hope Christian.
Now 5-1, the Griffins recorded their fourth shutout as Asher Nathan and Nico Roth tallied a goal each and junior goalkeeper Van Anderson four saves. Prep plays next at home Thursday against Albuquerque Oak Grove, and Capital plays host to Rio Rancho on Tuesday.
