Denver’s surprising four-point odds over the visiting New York Jets have fallen to one

By Arnie Leshin
Well at least the surprising New York Jets are getting some respect.
At 4-2 and with three road victories, the go-figure underdog odds that had their Sunday game at the 2-4 struggling Denver Broncos drop from the early line of four to one point. Still, with the green and white up among the American Conference East frontrunners, it still doesn’t make sense to cast it in the underdog role.
Said Jets’ second-year head coach Robert Saleh: “Yes, we know this, but it doesn’t matter who we play, we’re playing excellent ball and welcome playing at Denver odds or no odds.
Heck, we’re young, we are aggressive, play with confidence, force turnover, and really play big in late in games.”
The same goes for the soaring New York Giants at 5-1 and also among there with the top teams in National Conference East.
They are under first-year head coach Brian Daboll and he admits feeling kind of slighted as 3-point underdogs Sunday at 2-4 Jacksonville.
“Well,” he said, “they like to favor the home team, but I believe we are on the rise and a much better team than Jacksonville. We head to Florida with our heads and spirits up high, I did notice that the odds against us have stayed
 at three.”

Then there’s the Thursday night contest playing in Arizona, with the Cardinals favored by 2 and one-half over New Orleans.

Elsewhere, it’s Sunday time.

Green Bay is favored by 5 at the nation’s capital, Tennessee by three over visiting Indianapolis, Baltimore by seven against Cleveland at home,
Dallas at home by seven against Detroit, Tampa Bay by seven at Carolina, and at Cincinnati, the line is six versus Atlanta.

Heading to Las Vegas, the Raiders are favored by just one over Houston, Kansas City is a 3-point choice at San Francisco, the Chargers by seven for the Seattle visit, at Miami, the Dolphins are seven against Pittsburgh, and on Monday night in New England, Chicago will arrive as 8-point underdogs.
