Santa Fe Indian School at St. Michael’s. No contest, but head coach Bill Moon and his assistant Kevin Hauck do not have the talent and experience with the Braves, so let’s say Horsemen 50, Indian School 0 in a scheduled 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
Capital and crosstown and District 5-6A rival Santa Fe Prep get it on at Ivan Head Stadium Friday night, with neither having any post-season hopes. The Jaguars have been up and down, but down when it came to key tests, the Demons have been poor offensively and lack size, depth and experience. Capital 27, Santa Fe High 6. Kickoff 7 o’clock.
In a District 2-3A rivalry Friday night, it’s Robertson at West Las Vegas, but the site doesn’t matter to the Cardinals after pinning a 28-20 setback over St.Michael’s on the road, Take Robertson 28-12 unless it’s upset time for the home side.
Friday night battle of the Valleys in 2-4A, with Espanola a huge favorite at winless Pojoaque. The Sundevils are 5-4 overall, but 0-2 in district, while the hapless Elks are 0-8 and 0-2, and with an apparent 45-0 Espanola victory.
In another 2-4A tilt, it’s all Los Alamos (5-4, 2-0) at winless and disappointing Albuquerque Del Norte, which has lost its nine overall contests to go with 0-2 in district, and here the Hilltoppers roll it up, 47-8.
