RTD BLUE BUS 255 MOUNTAIN TRAIL ROUTE TO BEGIN WINTER SERVICE JANUARY 17

The RTD Blue Bus 255 Mountain Trail Routewill begin operating on a modified Winter Service schedule on Tuesday, January 17. Due to a shortage of bus transit operators, the service has been operating on its non-winter schedule and will do so through Monday, January 16.

The modified winter schedule will provide three roundtrips, seven days a week. Times will be adjusted to begin earlier and end later, and provide a midday option.

The Blue Bus Mountain Trail provides service through downtown Santa Fe up Hyde Park Road to trailheads in the Santa Fe National Forest and Hyde State Park, concluding at Ski Santa Fe where riders can be dropped off steps from the ticket window and lifts. The route is fare-free in the non-winter and winter seasons, During the winter season, uphill riders receive a $5 discount token to be used for anything at Ski Santa Fe, excluding alcohol.

The North Central Regional Transit District provides fare-free bus service to an area that encompasses over 10,000 square miles of north central New Mexico including the counties of Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos, the Eight Northern Pueblos and the Jicarilla Apache Nation.
