ROBERTSON TRACK AND FIELD MEET

Led by swift junior Rebekah Bagwell and junior hurdler Jada Lujan, St. Michael’s girls handily rolled past the field in Saturday’s annual Robertson track and field meet.
 
The Lady Horsemen collected 114 points, leaving runner-up Albuquerque Cottonwood (59) and third place host Cardinals (49) way behind. 
 
Santa Fe Prep finished ninth with 15 points, Pecos took 13th with nine, ATATC 14th with eight, 13th with nine was Pecos, and 15th with six was Capital in a field of 17 schools.
 
Not only did Bagwell outrace the field in the 100, 200, and 400, but she also anchored the winning 4 x 100 relay, and placed second in the high jump.
 
She claimed the 100 in 13:23, the 200 in 27.31, the 400 in 1:02.40, and went 5-feet in the high jump behind Lujan’s 5-5. In the 400, third place went Santa Fe High freshman Marley Belyeh. 
 
The Lady Horsemen’s time in the 4 x 100 was 52:23, and they added the 4 x 200 in 1:57, and the 4 x 400 in 4:26.53. 
 
Lujan left the field behind in claiming the 100 and 300 meters, was also victorious in the high jump and second in the long jump at 21-5.  
 
She won the 100 hurdles in 17:57, the 300 in 49.88, the high jump at 5-5. In the 300, it was a one-two-three for St. Michael’s, for after Lujan, sophomore Raylee Hunt ran 50.43, and senior Jacquelin Gorman 51.67.  
 
The foursome making up the Lady Horsemen 4 x 200 stick-pass with Bagwell were senior Grace Sandoval, sophomore Sophi Mieri, and Lujan. 
 
The 4 x 200 quartet sped 1:57.05 with freshman Bella Griego, sophomore UMA Chang, and Gorman.  
 
In the girl’s 800 meters, it was Santa Fe Prep sophomore Sophia Bair finishing first in 2:37.56.
