The Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners (Board) canceled its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, due to a technical difficulty that would have prevented the public from participating in the meeting via WebEx using the meeting credentials included in the final agenda for the meeting. This could have potentially prevented members of the public who had planned to listen and participate remotely from doing so. To avoid that possibility, the Board opted to cancel today’s meeting and hold a duly noticed special meeting on Monday, August 14, 2023, instead.
“Forcing the public to travel to the Board’s chambers in Santa Fe could preclude some from participating in Board meetings. Accordingly, the Board is committed to using virtual meeting platforms to make its meetings accessible to the public,” County Manager Gregory S. Shaffer said. “While that commitment carries a risk that meetings may have to be canceled due to unanticipated technical issues, we value greater public participation and convenience more.”
A special meeting will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The meeting will take place in the Commission Chambers at 102 Grant Avenue Santa Fe NM, and be broadcast on KSWV 99.9 FM, the County’s YouTube,BCC, Facebook, Webex, and theBCC Meeting landing page at www.santafecountynm.gov/joinmeeting.
