Tragedy and resilience: We’ll continue to tell their stories

It’s been more than 100 days since the war with Hamas began, and Israel has made significant gains throughout Gaza. The IDF has crippled Hamas’s ability to harm the Jewish state and is methodically destroying the extensive terrorist infrastructure throughout the Strip.

While militarily Israel’s progress has been exceptional, the scars the Jewish state has suffered as a result of the 10/7 Massacre and the ensuing war will never truly heal. There are entire communities virtually wiped out by Hamas’s murderous rampage. Blood stains the floors where children once played; burned-out houses stand where once, loving families made a home; and across Israel, there are empty chairs at the Sabbath dinner table – some for those whose lives were stolen by Hamas, others for those still held prisoner by the Palestinian terrorist thugs.

Throughout this, the darkest moment in modern Israel’s existence, CUFI has sought to be a shining light for Zion’s sake. We have raised more than $4.5 million for Israeli medical personnel, internally displaced Israeli refugees, and first responders who are, to this day, saving lives under fire.

But we must and we can do more. With your help and God’s favor, we can bless more Israelis on the front lines of the war.

Recently, our co-executive director Shari Dollinger traveled to Israel where she met with numerous survivors of the attack. Please check out this video, which focuses on one Israeli community ravaged by Hamas, so you can better understand the pain and the horror the Israelis experienced on that Black Sabbath, as well as the resilience they’ve displayed every day since.
