Santa Fe, N.M., May 29, 2024- The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) began a scoping period for the Ski Santa Fe Chairlift 4 In-line Replacement. During scoping, the SFNF will seek input from the public and organizations to determine the “scope” of the proposed project. This may include issues or areas of concern that the public or organizations feel should be considered within the project proposal. The scoping process will help the Ski Santa Fe and SFNF determine what environmental impacts to consider and whether the project is headed in the right direction.
This project would replace declining the chairlift infrastructure by:
- Replacing chairlift 4 terminal with chairlift 1 terminal.
- Improving power delivery by upgrading electrical infrastructure.
- Some tree removal along the chairlift corridor.
