selected. We must now pray for God’s blessings on our nation and get to work.

Upon their return from exile, the Israelites got to work rebuilding the temple (which symbolized God’s presence among His people). Unfortunately, they got sidetracked, and the prophet Haggai urged the people to rebuild the temple if they wanted God’s blessings.

Unifying the country won’t be easy. Long days are ahead, but God will bless the nation if we faithfully carry out the work to which He’s called us.

“I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,” says the Lord of hosts. “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,” says the Lord of hosts. “The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,” says the Lord of hosts. “And in this place I will give peace.” (Haggai 2:7–9)
