“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thanksgiving is about more than just eating good food and spending time with family. This verse reminds us that God wants us to be thankful no matter what’s going on in our lives.
It’s easy to be thankful when things are going great—when we have a job we like, good health, or everything we need. But Paul is saying we should thank God even when life is hard, because God is still with us and taking care of us.
Maybe you’ve had a tough year—maybe things didn’t go as planned. It’s normal to feel down, but even then, you can thank God for the little things: a friend who helped you, a meal on your table, or just knowing God is in control.
This Thanksgiving we’re reminded to focus on what we do have instead of what we don’t. It’s a way of saying, “God, I trust You no matter what.”
Happy Thanksgiving & God Bless You
