This is a huge step forward in our mission to protect and strengthen families in our state. With the support of key lawmakers, these bills are now moving through the legislative process, and we are committed to seeing them through.

Detransitioner Protection Act

SB500 – This bill ensures legal protections for individuals who regret undergoing gender transition procedures and holds medical professionals accountable for failing to obtain proper consent. It also strengthens parental rights by ensuring families are fully informed and involved in medical decisions affecting their children, protecting minors from irreversible procedures.

EMMA

HB578 (EMMA) – The Every Mother Matters Act

This pro-life bill ensures that pregnant women in New Mexico have access to essential support services, providing resources and assistance to those facing unplanned pregnancies. EMMA is designed to offer compassionate care, empowering women with life-affirming options and reducing the pressure to choose abortion.

Another crucial bill that is moving forward isHB543 – Parental Consent for Minors Healthcare. This bill, sponsored by our very own Rep. Rod Montoya, ensures that minors cannot receive gender-transition or reproductive health services without parental consent, protecting children from irreversible harm and upholding parental rights. Without this safeguard, minors could undergo life-altering treatments without their family’s guidance. The bill is scheduled for committee this Friday and we need your help to get it passed!
