Spring is a season of progress, and I am excited to share some major developments happening within the College of Engineering.
Construction has officially begun on the New Mexico Mutual Metal Additive Manufacturing Center, a state-of-the-art facility that will expand innovation opportunities in advanced manufacturing. This center represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing cutting-edge resources for our students and faculty.
At the same time, we are preparing for a reflective parting with the Thomas and Brown building, as demolition is now underway. While this marks the end of an era, it also paves the way for future growth and modernization of our facilities to best serve the next generation of NMSU engineers.
I would also like to take a moment to celebrate our exceptional faculty who have recently earned tenure
or been promoted, as well as those honored with prestigious professorships and chair appointments. These well-deserved recognitions reflect their outstanding contributions to scholarship, teaching,
and service which strengthen our college and
inspire our students. |
