Just 10 Days Away! Artist Spotlights + Kick Off Concerts

The music begins August 22 at 4pm!

The Paige Stage kicks off the music with a Songwriters Showcase from 4-6pm followed by a new Youth Band Showcase from 6-8pm. Performances on the main stage begin with Stepwiseat 6pm, followed by Charm City Junction and SLO County Stumblers.

Bring your items for donation to our Flea Market to Iconik–RED, then sip and listen! Santa Fe Friends of Traditional Music will be collecting donations of instruments and other music related items for auction at TradFest 2025. Music at this kickoff event provided by High Lonesome Highway, a five-piece family bluegrass band from Santa Fe.
Artist Spotlight: SLO County Stumblers
The SLO County Stumblers play hard-driving old time fiddle tunes and spirited songs, heavily influenced by the golden-era string bands of the 1920s and 30s. Their performance is filled with humorous stories and banter and is guaranteed to generate a great audience response.The band features fiddler Casy Meikle, guitarist David Baine, banjo player Daniel Bohlman, and Jerry James on bass.
New Parking & Camping Area!

Santa Fe Friends of Traditional Music is happy to announce that we have a new parking area just across the road and within easy walking distance of the festival site. There is also space there for camping among the trees. We ask that all be careful crossing the road. A new pedestrian entrance near the ticket tent has been provided.

Songwriter Showcase

A new Songwriters Showcase will be the first official event of Tradfest, at 4-6 pm, Friday, August 22. Participating songwriters will perform original songs for audience members and other songwriters. All are welcome! The event is organized by veteran songwriters Bill Leeman & Matthew Hecht.

Young People Welcome!

Santa Fe Tradfest is going big on youth oriented events this year. All kids under the age of 18 are admitted to the festival free all weekend.

Festival opening events include The Next Stage, a Youth Band Showcase on Friday, Aug 22 at 6pm (learn more and apply!). Saturday morning performances begin at 10amwith the Academy for Technology and the Classics Youth String Band playing lively, old-time tunes on the main stage.

At noon on Saturday will be a special Contra and Square Dance–two hours of dancing with an open band led by award-winning ATC music teacher Eric Carlson, with instruction and dance calling by Erik Erhardt. Young musicians are welcome to play in the band!

And then there is the Family Zonewhere even younger folks can always find fun stuff to do.

Santa Fe TradFest partners with local music school Queen Bee Music Association to gather community partners far and wide. This year, activities for kids will feature arts & crafts, science projects, face painting, and workshops especially for kids and families. The Family Zone is open from 10am-4pm on Saturday and from 10am-12pm on Sunday.
