When asked about her childhood, Dolores looks off into the distance. Although she was young, she still remembers the traumatic events of the Holocaust…
Nazis invading Ukraine, rounding up Jews and murdering them — simply because of their faith.
Being bundled up and whisked away in the dead of night.
Always on the run.
Always hungry.
Always afraid for her life.
Now in her 80s, Dolores is still all alone with no one to care for her — unable to buy food, medicine, and the other basic items she needs to survive.
“Without you I would have nothing to eat. My life would be impossible. The Fellowship is the only friend left in my life.”
Thankfully, Fellowship friends like YOU provide Dolores with the basic essentials she needs each month to help her live with dignity and hope. And even more, these same essentials provide Dolores with the blessed assurance that she has not been forgotten, that she is not alone, and that she is loved.
Patrcik, vulnerable souls like Dolores continue to rely on you to help provide for all of their needs — physical, emotional, and spiritual. That’s why I’m asking you tojoin our monthly giving family to help provide a nourishing food box to a Holocaust survivor like Dolores each month.
As Christians study in the New Testament, “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” (James 2:15-17).
I pray that you will take action today and commit to our holy work of helping God’s chosen people — because we can’t do it without you. Your gift of $25 each month will help provide a nourishing food box to a Holocaust survivor like Dolores.
May God bless you for your loving and giving heart. I am so grateful to have a friend like you by my side.
