The Radwan force is the terror group Hezbollah’s special operations unit and is often on the frontlines of their engagements. The Jerusalem Post reportsthat the IDF has killed the platoon commander Issa Ahmad Karbala in a strike in southern Lebanon this morning. The strike occurred between the Israeli border and Beirut in the Ain Qana area.
“The terrorist advanced the transfer of weapons in Lebanon and advanced terror attacks against the State of Israel,” the military stated of Karbala. “The activities of the terrorist constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
The IDF added that it would continue to work to eliminate threats to Israel.
The strike follows up on the action taken by the IDF against the Lebanese terror group.
Hezbollah has been attempting to reestablish itself across Lebanon with Western intelligence officials saying that the terror group is rebuilding faster than the Lebanese army is dismantling. At the same time, the IDF has also been targeting Hezbollah infrastructure south of Ain Qana.
People across Israel are praying for the ongoing ceasefire and hostage agreement in Gaza to continue to hold as hostages are released and the IDF has withdrawn from Gaza. However, what they’ve been fighting for the past two years has been a multi-front war against terror not just with Hamas, but with groups like Hezbollah and the Houthis. We pray for the brave men and women of the IDF and their dedication to prevent further terror attacks on Israel.
