Jesus Lights up Christmas Eve!

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”

— John 1:9

This verse is talking about Jesus.

When Jesus came into the world, the Light showed up. Not an idea. Not advice. Jesus Himself is the Light. And that matters, because light helps you see. It helps you understand what’s real. It helps you know where to step next when life feels confusing.

And let’s be honest — life can feel dark. The kind of dark where you’re tired, unsure, and doing your best to just to figure things out as you go.

Christmas is the moment Jesus stepped into that. He didn’t wait for the world to get better. He didn’t stay far away. Jesus came right into the mess with us.

The verse says He gives light to everyone. That means this isn’t just for people who grew up in church or already know what they believe. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to clean yourself up first. Jesus didn’t come for people who had answers — He came for people who needed light.

Following Jesus matters because darkness makes you guess. Light brings clarity. Darkness hides things. Light tells the truth. And when you walk with Jesus, you’re not walking blind anymore.

Here’s the part that always hits me on Christmas Eve:

Jesus didn’t come to explain the darkness.

He came to turn the lights on.
