Merry Christmas

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

John 1:14

Christmas is more than a moment, more than a memory, and definitely more than whatever gifts are sitting under the tree. As beautiful as those gifts are, the heart of Christmas is this: God Himself left His throne and stepped into humanity. He didn’t send a substitute. He didn’t stay distant. He came close. The Word became flesh. God put on skin. He entered our world, our pain, our ordinary days, and He chose to live among us.

That’s what makes this so powerful. God didn’t just visit — He moved in. He walked where we walk. He felt what we feel. And when John says, “we beheld His glory,” he’s not talking about sparkle or spectacle. He’s talking about a glory wrapped in humility, mercy, and love — full of grace and truth. Grace for who we are. Truth for who we’re becoming.

So yes, enjoy the gifts. Enjoy the lights, the meals, the laughter. But remember the most important gift of all: God stepped into humanity so humanity could share eternity with Him. That’s the prize. That’s the miracle. That’s Christmas.

God Bless You and Yours & Merry Christmas
