Dine Out For A Change @ Capital Coal • WED 1/21

Gather Early. Stay Late. Support Local.

Whether you’re heading to PechaKucha Night Santa Fe VOL. 28: AWE this Wednesday, January 21, or you’re simply out and about, consider making a stop at Capital Coal Neighborhood Eatery for something easy, casual, and genuinely satisfying.

As part of Dine Out For A Change, Capital Coal is expanding their hours for the day—staying open from 11AM–11PM (with last order at 10PM)—and donating 15% of proceeds to support Creative Santa Fe. It’s one of those simple “do what you already do” moments: grab lunch, meet up with a friend, take yourself out for dinner… and your meal still ends up strengthening the creative work happening across our city.

Inside, Capital Coal keeps it interesting with six menus under one roof, offering a mix that fits just about any mood—poke bowls, bibimbap, salads, sandwich dips, elote, plus rotating seasonal specials. It’s the kind of place where you can come as you are, order what sounds good, and still feel like you discovered something new. Plenty of options, plenty of variety, and choices that are both satisfying and easy on the wallet.

Come early. Stay late. Bring a friend. Try something you’ve never ordered before. Every plate helps.

Sponsor Spotlight: Cafecito

A Gathering Place, Rooted in Culture

Some places feel built for connection the moment you walk in. Cafecito is one of them.

A family-owned business blending the cultures of Argentina, Armenia, and Italy, Cafecito has become a daily gathering place for people who love good food, good coffee, and the kind of warmth that makes you want to stay a little longer. Located in the Baca Railyard’s Trailhead Compound, the space is bright, welcoming, and designed to move easily between indoors and out—perfect for quick drop-ins, slow mornings, and conversations that don’t need a deadline.

On the menu, you’ll find Buenos Aires–style coffee, mate, and empanadas served with chimichurri, with a focus on local sourcing and relationships. Cafecito supports friends and growers across New Mexico—connecting with farms, roasters, brewers, and makers to keep community at the center of what they serve.

In the evenings, Cafecito also opens its doors in a different way: the space is available for private gatherings, offering an intimate and thoughtfully designed setting for celebrations, team dinners, and moments that are best shared around good food and open tables.

We’re grateful to Cafecito for supporting the 2026 PechaKucha Night Santa Fe series. Thank you for helping carry a vision of a community that is inclusive, vibrant, and connective—one gathering at a time.
