As shepherds, you are called to guard what is entrusted to you, especially the hearts and minds of children. This Sunday, there is an opportunity for pastors and church leaders to see firsthand an issue that has become an increasing concern for parents with children in public schools.
This Sunday from 1–3 PM, a documentary screening will take place at Calvary Albuquerque, Osuna Campus, exposing sexually explicit material currently found in Albuquerque Public Schools libraries and classrooms. This film presents documented evidence, along with testimony from local parents and insight from experts who have been working directly on this issue, including our friends Vince Torres, and Don and Damara Andrade.
Too often, conversations about school content are dismissed as exaggerated or ideological. This documentary allows adults to see the material for themselves, understand how it is being made accessible to students, and consider the implications for families and communities. This is about protection, transparency, and the responsibility we all share to speak when something is wrong.
We strongly encourage pastors to attend, or encourage parents in your congregations to attend and learn how to protect their children from what they might be exposed to at school. The event is for adults only and is not appropriate for children.
