Never Again Requires Action—Not Silence

10491. It’s the number late Holocaust survivor and dear friend of CUFI Irving Roth had tattooed on his arm when he arrived by cattle car to Auschwitz- Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.

10491. It was an attempt to reduce a human being to something less-than, to a number, a faceless, nameless body.

Yet while the Nazis battered Irving’s body, they could never break his soul. His resilience. His hope for survival in the face of the greatest evil the world has ever known.

This week, as we observe International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember Irving—and each of the six million Jewish victims of the worst genocide in history.

The Lord Jesus encouraged us to treat every person in need as we would treat Him if He were suffering—to feed, clothe, shelter, and comfort the suffering out of love for them and for Him (Matthew 25).

Right now, our Jewish brothers and sisters around the world are in need.

Antisemitism has risen to unprecedented levels in our nation – the problem is not “out there.” It’s next door to you. It’s on your street. It’s in your church. All around us, Jew-hatred is spreading like poison, and on days like today, we must remember where it led 81 years ago—to Auschwitz.

Honoring the victims of the Holocaust means protecting the truth.Learn the facts to protect the truth with CUFI’s Holocaust Fact Sheet.

When cowardly arson is carried out upon Mississippi’s oldest synagogue in Jackson.

When Orthodox Jews in New York are stabbed while walking down the street.

When Jewish professors are murdered in their homes.

When Jewish students of all ages are more afraid than ever before just to go to school.

As Irving once said, “It’s not enough that we remember history, we must act on its lessons. We must stand up to the antisemitism in our midst, at every turn, without apology, come what may.”

Get the facts—so you can confront antisemitism, defend the truth, and stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
