SB 30 – the bill that would completely eliminate mandatory reporting of induced abortions in New Mexico – passed the House Judiciary Committee this morning on a 6-3 party-line vote.
It now moves to the full House floor for a vote, likely very soon. Read more facts about SB 30 and SB 189 below.
This is the bill that would:
– Erase all statewide statistical data on abortions.
– Conceal the number of elective late-term abortions.
– Hide complications, injuries, and deaths to women.
– Prevent oversight of the $50 million+ in taxpayer dollars funding this industry.
– Make it impossible to track patterns of abuse, trafficking risks, or infants born alive during abortions.
Democrats on the committee literally voted to conceal the truth from New Mexico taxpayers who are forced to pay for it. We still have a narrow window to stop this on the House floor. What you can do right now–please act today.
1. Call your State Representative immediately
Tell them: “Vote NO on SB 30. Taxpayers deserve transparency, not a cover-up of abortion complications and misuse of public funds.”
Find your Representative and phone number:

2. Email your Representative (copy-paste or personalize):
Subject: Vote NO on SB 30 – No Cover-Up of Abortion Data
Message:
“I am a constituent and I strongly oppose SB 30. Repealing abortion reporting eliminates accountability for the $50 million+ in taxpayer money funding elective abortions. This bill hides complications, injuries to women, and potential abuse. Please vote NO on the House floor.”
3. Share this alert widely – forward this email, post on social media, text friends/family in New Mexico.
We knew they would try to ram this through. They’re counting on us staying silent.
We are not silent.
Thank you for standing for life, for women, and for truth in New Mexico.
