Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei Is Dead; Nine Killed in Beit Shemesh Missile Strike

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed in an air strike:

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the body of the 86-year-old, described as riddled with shrapnel, was recovered from the rubble after his compound in Tehran was targeted during the opening phase of “Operation Roaring Lion.”

Documentation supporting the assessment was in Israel’s possession and had been presented to the prime minister and senior members of the security establishment, the reports said.

“We are speaking about Khamenei—the Hitler of the 2000s—and this is one of the reasons the State of Israel was created, after Hitler murdered six million of our people,” Likud legislator Moshe Passal told JNS on Saturday night. “When there is someone preparing a [nuclear] weapon and saying that he will destroy all the Jews in the world, this is the inevitable side to be on.

Meanwhile, tragic news from Beit Shemesh, where nine people were killed in an Iranian missile strike:

According to Channel 12 News, a direct hit on a residential building caused the structure to collapse.

Israel Police Jerusalem District Cmdr. Avshalom Peled told local media that the casualties were believed to have been inside a shelter when it took a direct hit from a ballistic missile.

“We know from past incidents that where a shelter or reinforced room sustained a direct hit, they did not withstand the force of the missile,” said Peled. “However, anyone who is inside a protected space and the impact is not direct—which is the majority of cases—is protected.”
