Background
MAYDAY or International Workers’ Day, is a global day of action honoring the struggles and victories of workers. In New Mexico, immigrant workers are essential to our economy and communities, yet continue to face systemic injustice, exploitation, and the threat of deportation.
This year’s May Day action builds on a long tradition of organizing to demand fair labor conditions, immigrant rights, and policies that reflect the dignity and humanity of all people. Together, we march to make clear: our communities will not be silenced, and our rights are non-negotiable.
