While Israel remains on the defensive against ongoing Iranian strikes and continues its campaign against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, the United States has provided an update on Operation Epic Fury, including a possible timeline and its objectives. The Times of Israel reports that U.S. President Donald Trump said two to three more weeks may be needed to achieve the goals of destroying Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities and production facilities that supply terror proxies, as well as permanently halting any nuclear program.
Trump stated yesterday that his primary objective in the war is to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio added that the goals also include dismantling Iran’s air force.
A White House official indicated that Trump is likely to reiterate that the war could take an additional two to three weeks, potentially extending the conflict beyond the previously suggested four-to-six-week timeline from Washington.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials have not provided a specific timeframe for their objectives in the war with Iran. They remain focused on preventing terror attacks in the north, dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure, and defending against intensified Iranian strikes during Passover. Gulf allies, including the UAE, are urging President Trump to continue the campaign, arguing that the Iranian regime has not yet been sufficiently weakened to achieve broader goals, such as reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The IDF has reported recent success in southern Lebanon, including the elimination of a senior commander in a strike on Beirut. The Fellowship and its supporters remain grateful for the strong relationship between the United States and Israel and continue to pray for the protection of the thousands of U.S. servicemembers arriving in the region, as well as for the men and women of the IDF.
