National Period of Mourning Declared

Nigeria has declared a national period of mourning. Christians are dying – in their pews, in their schools, in their homes – at a pace that has shaken an entire nation.

Eight believers were beheaded, including a beloved math teacher. Then 30 people were killed in a week-long wave of attacks across a Christian-majority region. A town resident reported: “They came into the community around midnight and started shooting and hacking people to death.”
