Israel Grieves Tragic Loss of Six Hostages

We are heartbroken over the horrific execution of six Israeli hostages in the tunnels of Gaza. Unarmed and having been held in captivity for nearly a year, (L-R) Hersh Goldberg-Polin (23), Ori Danino (25), Eden Yerushalmi (24), Almog Sarusi (27), Alexander Lobanov (32), and Carmel Gat (40) were shot to death at point-blank range. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob comfort the bereaved of Israel, and may the memories of His martyrs be a blessing.

Like all Hamas war crimes, this cold-blooded murder of six innocent people, including an American citizen, cannot be ignored.

Israel will continue to do everything in its power to bring the hostages home and vanquish Hamas. Moreover, Jerusalem will make decisions of war and peace based on the will of the people, not the short-term political interests of foreign elected officials. Israel is a sovereign nation, and she will defend her people.

But she will not do so alone. Israel fights to protect her people with God’s favor and CUFI’s support. Each and every one of us has a role to play as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem.

Let us continue to live up to that lofty description. Let us stand with Israel regardless of who opposes her. And let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the return of the hostages, and that God comfort all the mourners of Zion.

One way in which you can ensure the hostages are not forgotten is by displaying this poster featuring the faces of those in captivity. Download this poster and more to let the world know that Israel is never alone.
