Fire managers have decided to postpone the Seven Springs prescribed pile burn project in the Jemez Ranger District and will shift resources to the
43-acre Triangle prescribed pile burn unit located near the community of La Cueva, adjacent to Forest Road 376 and Forest Road 604. Ignitions on the Triangle pile burn project will begin
Saturday November 16.
Fire crews completed ignitions on the 47-acre Tusas West pile burn unit in the Cuba Ranger District.
The decision to proceed with each pile burn depends on multiple factors, including snowpack, fuel moisture levels, air quality, ventilation, forecast weather and wind, and resource availability.
