The Israeli Air Force (IAF) confirmed strikes in western Iran that took place on Monday. The Jerusalem Post reports that drone operators were targeted at a launch site as part of the continuing campaign to destroy the regime’s missile and drone capabilities that threaten Israel. The IDF also noted yesterday that most of the central assets of the internal security forces and the Basij militia in the same area have been destroyed.
The IDF added that it is continuing to operate against missile-related infrastructure in western Iran “in order to reduce, to the extent possible, the scope of missile fire toward Israeli territory.”
In addition, the IDF announced that it has begun a “wide-scale wave of strikes” targeting IRGC infrastructure across Iran on Wednesday afternoon.
The IDF has struck more than 400 regime locations, with nearly 2,000 terror operatives eliminated. Western Iran is home to Ilam Province, where the Basij militia carried out terror operations against anti-government protesters in December and January.
The militia, founded after the 1979 revolution in Iran, enlists civilians to enforce the regime’s rule and participate in terror operations against Israel. According to the IDF, of the militia’s estimated one to two million members, roughly 200,000 are considered “hardcore” members.
As these operations continue today, The Fellowship and our supporters pray for the airmen and women of the IAF and for the continued vigilance of IDF intelligence that led to these successful strikes. The number of rockets and drones fired into Israel from Iran has been steadily decreasing, but there is still much work to be done before Israel and her people are safe.
