The 74-year-old lives in a dilapidated apartment in the former Soviet Union (FSU) with leaky pipes and broken windows that allow the bitter cold in.
Her only source of heat is an electric stove … if she can pay her electric bill. Her meager monthly pension runs out after just two weeks. She is forced to choose between food or medicine.
As I wrote to you before, Manana and so many other elderly Jews in Israel, Ukraine, and throughout the FSU are in a struggle to survive every single month.Have you considered my invitation to bless them as a monthly supporter?
Patrcik, ongoing monthly support for The Fellowship is absolutely vital to help elderly and impoverished Jews like Manana, who face hunger, illness, and isolation. The support is especially critical now, when vulnerable Jews in Israel are under fire from Iranian rockets, struggling again to cope with the horror and uncertainty of war.
The need is ongoing, and I’m praying that you’ll commit to our mission to ensure that Jews like Manana have the basic necessities they need to survive every month.
“I’m terrified of getting sick,” Manana says. “Living alone, I have no family to help me. Even a minor illness can become a crisis.”
Manana says she runs out of money every single month. There just isn’t enough to have a roof over her head, food on the table, and medicine to survive. She often feels so alone and hopeless.
Will YOU be there for Manana? Will you let her know that she is not alone and that someone cares?
