Tierney Sutton and Tamir Hendelman to Perform June 6
One of the most anticipated upcoming events at Dave’s Jazz Bistro is set for Saturday, June 6, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., when nine-time Grammy-nominated vocalist Tierney Sutton and acclaimed pianist Tamir Hendelman take the stage in celebration of their new duo album, Spring.
The performance promises an intimate, close-listening experience, highlighting the duo’s remarkable chemistry and refined artistry. Audiences can expect a program that moves between tender ballads and lively, swinging moments, marked by inventive interpretations and a conversational interplay between voice and piano. With a previous engagement selling out at the Lensic, organizers encourage guests to reserve early.

- Amuse-Bouche: Provençal tapenade with capers, anchovies, garlic, and olive oil, served with seasoned crostini and house-made corn chips
- Starter: Zucchini and sweet potato vichyssoise, a chilled and velvety blend of zucchini, sweet potato, and leeks

A Tribute to Thelonious Monk on May 9

Monk’s music, known for its angular melodies, surprising harmonies, and fearless improvisation, continues to captivate listeners across generations. This performance will explore a broad range of his most beloved and intriguing works, offering an evening that is at once playful, profound, and unmistakably distinctive.
To accompany the music, chefs from the Santa Fe School of Cooking have created a Southern comfort-inspired menu:

- First Course: Tomato pie tartlets, with a vegan option available upon request
- Main Course Options: Bourbon braised short ribs; monkfish with stone-ground grits; vegan cornmeal galette
- Dessert: Classic chess pie
In the intimate atmosphere of Dave’s Jazz Bistro, the evening is expected to offer not only exceptional music and food, but a meaningful artistic celebration rooted in Santa Fe’s vibrant cultural life.
Carmen Bradford Returns July 11
Looking ahead to summer, Grammy Award-winning vocalist Carmen Bradford will return to Dave’s Jazz Bistro on Saturday, July 11, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for what is expected to be another standout performance.
