New Mexico Hunters: Don’t Forget Your Habitat Stamp and Address Update
The New Mexico Department of Wildlife is reminding hunters to purchase their
public land user habitat stamp and update their mailing address by
May 15.
A habitat stamp is required for hunters who plan to hunt on
U.S. Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management lands.
If you want the habitat stamp printed directly on your license or tag for the
2026–2027 hunting season, it must be purchased before
May 15. Hunters can still buy the stamp after that date, but it will
need to be carried separately.
May 15 is also the final day to update your mailing address before the Department
begins mailing tags for the license year.
Hunters can update their address and purchase their habitat stamp through the
New Mexico Department of Wildlife Online Licensing System
.
For help, contact the Department’s Information Center at
888-248-6866.
