La Carinderia Fundraising Dinner Brings Filipino Food, Music, Comedy, and Community to Albuquerque
La Carinderia is inviting the community to gather for a special fundraising sit-down dinner on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at New Mexico Community Capital, 119 3rd St SW.
The event will help support La Carinderia, a new community food space in Albuquerque created through a collaboration between Barkadas ABQ, Howdy Cakes, and Prickly Foods.
Guests can expect an evening filled with food, drinks, entertainment, and community connection. The dinner will feature a six-course Filipino tasting menu by Barkadas, small bites from Howdy Cakes, and drinks provided by Prickly Foods.
An Evening of Food and Entertainment
Along with the meal, the night will include live performances and comedy, featuring:
- Flamenco performance from Santa Fe flamenco dancer La Emi
- Music from OnQ Chorus
- Comedy from Andres Gonzalez
- Appearances by Cassandra Ramirez
- MC and comedy from Paulette Santos
The event will take place inside New Mexico Community Capital’s Resilience Hub, creating a space for guests to enjoy great food while supporting a local community-driven project.
