International Fellowship of Christians and Jews to Bring Prayer Requests to Jerusalem’s Western Wall

JERUSALEM — The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is inviting supporters to submit prayer requests that will be taken to the Western Wall in Jerusalem’s Old City during an upcoming visit by organization leaders.

Yael Eckstein, president and global CEO of The Fellowship, and members of the organization’s team are expected to visit the Western Wall, where they plan to pray for requests submitted by supporters from around the world.

The Western Wall is one of Jerusalem’s most significant religious sites and holds deep importance for both Jewish and Christian visitors. The wall is a surviving portion associated with the ancient Temple complex and has long served as a place where people gather for prayer and reflection.

The Fellowship cited Psalm 17:6 in announcing the prayer initiative: “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.”

SUPPORTING JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN NEED

Along with collecting prayer requests, The Fellowship is continuing its humanitarian efforts to assist vulnerable Jewish communities in Israel, Ukraine and other parts of the former Soviet Union.

According to the organization, elderly Jewish residents and Holocaust survivors continue to face poverty and food insecurity, while families displaced by war remain unable to return to their homes.

The Fellowship also provides assistance to Jewish people leaving areas of the former Soviet Union amid concerns about antisemitism and instability. That work includes helping individuals and families make aliyah, the process of immigrating to Israel.

The organization says the needs facing these communities remain significant even as international attention has shifted away from some of the crises affecting the region.

PRAYER AT THE WESTERN WALL

Visitors to the Western Wall have traditionally brought personal prayers to the site, including written prayers that are placed between the stones of the wall. The Fellowship’s upcoming visit will continue that tradition by bringing prayer requests submitted by its supporters.

The organization said its team considers the opportunity to pray on behalf of supporters an expression of gratitude for those who have helped sustain its humanitarian work.

In addition to submitting prayer requests, supporters are being invited to contribute to The Fellowship’s ongoing programs providing food, basic necessities, emergency assistance and other support to Jewish individuals and families in need.
