The City of Santa Fe’s Contractor — Vital Consulting Group, Inc. has completed drilling operations for the support piles on St. Francis Drive. The next phase of construction will require the removal of large areas of pavement through the project area to install support beams for the underground structure.
In the best interest of public safety during the winter months at the city’s busiest intersection, the pavement removal and support beam installation will be temporarily suspended. Starting November 23rd the project will commence winter-suspension until spring 2017. Access to businesses, residences and the city trails will remain open and all temporary traffic control will be removed during this period. The winter suspension is expected to be lifted in early April 2017.
