Mayor Javier M. Gonzales and the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission announce a call for nominations for the 2017 Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts. The deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday, June 16, 2017 at 5 PM

Each year, the Mayor’s Awards recognize the outstanding contributions that individuals, organizations and businesses have made to the Santa Fe arts community. Any member of the public may nominate an artist, writer, performer, philanthropist, organization or business for consideration. Nominees should have demonstrated a sustained commitment to the Santa Fe arts community with a lasting impact. Young artists who have demonstrated artistic excellence and extraordinary commitment to their artistic pursuits may be nominated for the Melissa Engestrom Youth Arts Award. Recipients will be honored during an awards’ dinner in October.

Individuals over 21 years of age are eligible to be nominated for the Mayor’s Award. Youth 21 years of age and younger may be nominated for the Engestrom Youth Award. Past recipients of the Mayor’s Awards as well as those that have received the Governor’s Arts Awards within the past five years may not be nominated.
