Santa Fe County begins pavement preservation work today

The Santa Fe County Public Works Department will install a pavement preservation treatment on a 1.3 mile section of West Alameda (immediately east of Via Abajo extending to the City limits near Quail View Lane).  Weather permitting, this construction is planned to take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 with work beginning promptly at 5 p.m. and concluding around 8 p.m. (3 hours).

To accommodate this work safely, traffic control will be established along this route and the Santa Fe County Public Works Department will ensure that all properties in the immediate area of construction be accessible at all times.

Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to seek an alternate route, expect delays and allow additional time to negotiate this work zone.

If additional information is necessary regarding this road work, please contact Eric Giron, the Santa Fe County Roads Maintenance Superintendent at (505) 629-3879.

Thank you in advance for your continued patience, cooperation and use of caution in work zones.
