Santa Fe County is seeking a board member to serve on the County Valuation Protest Board

Santa Fe County is seeking a board member to serve on the County Valuation Protest Board. The new board member must demonstrate experience in the field of property valuation.

The Valuation Protest Board consists of volunteers appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to examine and rule on property tax valuation protests.  It is comprised of two members and two alternates. Protest Board members are appointed for two year terms by the Board of County Commissioners.  Members shall not be employed by the State of New Mexico, a political subdivision, or a school district, shall not hold an elected public office and must be registered to vote in Santa Fe County.

Anyone interested in being appointed to the County Protest Valuation Board should submit a letter outlining their qualifications and a resume to:
