Heinrich To Tour N.M. School For The Deaf, Keynote Wildlife Corridor Summit In Northern New Mexico

SANTA FE, N.M. – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will be in northern New Mexico on Monday, August 21, 2017 and Tuesday, August 22, 2017 to visit the New Mexico School for the Deaf in Santa Fe and keynote the Wildlife Corridor and Connectivity Summit in Taos.

Monday at 1:30 p.m. MT, Senator Heinrich will tour the New Mexico School for the Deaf, the only land-grant school for the deaf in the country. During the visit, Senator Heinrich will meet with students and faculty, and discuss the importance of every child in every school across New Mexico receiving a quality education.

Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. MT, Senator Heinrich will keynote the 2017 Wildlife Corridor and Connectivity Summit hosted by the New Mexico Wildlife Federation, Colorado Wildlife Federation, National Wildlife Federation and Trout Unlimited. The 2017 Summit will focus on U.S. Forest Service landscape connectivity projects in the Upper Rio Grande Watershed and the importance of collaboration between local, state, federal, tribal and non-profit agencies and organizations.
