By Senator Ben R Luján Press Office

WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) last night announced his guest at tonight’s State of the Union will be PFC Quentin Begaye. PFC Begaye was born in Gallup, NM. Following his graduation from Tohatchi High School in 2016, Begaye enlisted in the Army. Following completion of basic training, he was assigned to the Old Guard and is stationed in Washington, DC where he currently serves as a rifleman.

Tonight, when President Trump looks into the gallery during his State of the Union, he will see the dedication, courage and patriotism of a young Navajo man from New Mexico who is proudly serving his country in the US Army, PFC Quentin Begaye,” said Luján. “New Mexico has a long and proud tradition of service in our Armed Forces, and of bravely answering the call of duty when our country needs them most. It is my honor and privilege to have PFC Begaye as my guest tonight representing the extraordinary contributions of our state’s military service members.”
