Bluewater Lake State Park Closed Due to Bluewater and Diener Canyon Fires

Prewitt, NM –The public is advised that Bluewater Lake State Park is closed until further notice due to the Bluewater and Diener Canyon Fires burning in the Zuni Mountains on the Cibola National Forest.  The wildfire has forced the evacuation of both sides of Bluewater Lake State Park.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new state-of-the-art Visitor Center at Bluewater Lake State Park which was scheduled for Saturday, April 14th at 1 p.m. has been postponed due to the Park’s closure.
