New Mexico Aging & Long-Term Services Department Announces 40th Annual ‘Conference on Aging

By NM Aging and Long Term Services
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) today announced their upcoming 40th Annual ‘Conference on Aging’ which will be held August 21 and 22 at Isleta Resort & Casino Conference Center. The two-day event supports active aging throughout New Mexico. The theme for the 2018 conference is “Supporting Active Aging: Today – Tomorrow – Beyond”.
The Conference on Aging is the only integrated conference for New Mexico residents over age 50, family caregivers, advocates, policymakers, and community-based service providers throughout the state. The event provides an opportunity to network in an informal atmosphere with older adults, businesses and non-profits, and to discuss strategies, challenges, and best practices for aging.
ALTSD is encouraging partners to take an active role in the conference. There are multiple ways to get involved.
