New Middle School Will Provide Long-Term Opportunities

WHAT:Event to announce new Private/Public partnership between Santa Fe Studios and Turquoise Trail Charter School. The event will announce the expansion of the school with middle school classes this fall. The lottery for enrollment will open at the news conference. There are spaces for 60 to 70 middle school students.

(Directions: Take Highway 14 southbound toward Cerrillos/Madrid. One mile from the Allsup’sstoplight, across from the state prison administrative building, is Santa Fe Studios Road – there is no stoplight. Turn left. Go to the guardhouse where you will be directed to parking.)
WHY:There is a huge demand in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico for successful middle school models, especially since so many of the schools are overpopulated and struggling to meet student achievement goals. Private schools are not an option for most, and charter schools have excessively long waiting lists. Turquoise Trail Charter School is uniquely equipped to serve the developmental needs of Santa Fe’s diverse population by providing a smaller, more personalized school setting.
