Location:  Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest

Fuel: Dead and down ponderosa pine and mixed conifer

Weather: Partly cloudy, scattered showers

Resources: 1 engine and 1 utility responded

Situation:  The fire is in the Las Conchas burn scar area.  Smoke visible from Cochiti Mesa, and off of Forest Road 289 just south of Forest Road 142.  Fire is in monitor status due to dangerous snags in the area, therefore no resources are committed at this time. Fire personnel will assess again tomorrow.

Smoke/Air Quality: Smoke impact to local communities remains low, however, smoke-sensitive individuals and people with respiratory or heart disease should be prepared to exercise precautionary measures.
