7th Annual Neighbor to Neighbor Food Drive Benefiting The Food Depot Monday, September 4th through Friday, September 14, 2018

By The Food Depot

Thank you for your continued support of The Food Depot’s mission to foster healthy, hunger-free communities in Northern New Mexico. Without your commitment, The Food Depot could not provide over 454,000 meals each month to the nine counties they serve, which is why I am reaching out today.

Some of you may already be familiar with the upcoming 7th annual Neighbor to Neighbor Food Drive which benefits The Food Depot. Last year, Neighbor to Neighbor brought in over 152,000 LBS of food, making this the largest food drive in Northern New Mexico. The need for hunger relief in our community is daunting–the food provided by Neighbor to Neighbor last year constituted just one week of food provided by The Food Depot. The goal for the Neighbor to Neighbor food drive this year is 200K+ LBS in donations, and with your help, we can surpass this number and provide more food to New Mexicans in need.

There is also a friendly competition this year between City and County donations, so let’s fill the collection barrels you’ll see at the below locations and/or donate monetarily which goes even further (every $1 = 5 LBS). Donations can be made online or by check. Details are below.

The Food Depot is also looking for volunteers to either help pick-up or sort donations as they arrive at the warehouse on September 15th. Please contact Dot Greene at The Food Depot if you are interested in assisting this way.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
