The Santa Fe Indian School girls won their third straight game

Santa Fe High’s girls basketball gained tonight’s championship game of the annual Goddard tournament by getting past Miyamura, 36-30, in Wednesday’s semifinals.
The Demonettes advanced to 6-5 and will go against Roswell tonight in tonight’s title game. Roswell is also 6-5. In the quarterfinals, coach Nate Morris’ team romped over Roswell, 43-18.
Now they play host Goddard, also 6-5.
Against Miyamura, Santa Fe led 12-7 after one quarter, were up 18-17 at the intermission, fell behind 22-21 after three quarters, and then went on a 13-8 fourth quarter run to win its third in a row.
The Demonettes up their overall record to 6-5
