Hermits Peak Calf Canyon Post Fire Response

The Northern New Mexico Type 3 Incident Management Team, hosted by NM Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM) and the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF), are outreaching to the public to gather information on Hermits Peak Calf Canyon post-fire flooding issues that are affecting our communities.

  • Information is being gathered through an online form that is available in English and Spanish and can be found by scanning the QR codes below, or you can also enter/click the following URLs into your web browser. English: https://forms.office.com/g/VTSxrKcTxU  Español: https://forms.office.com/g/7ng1nFxzfx when filling out the form you will be prompted to provide the following information:

  • Name, phone number, and email address.
  • Physical address, county, and zip code.
  • Date of flooding impact and the road identification number of the property being affected by flooding.

Once the forms are completed, responses will be gathered and the flood response team in conjunction with the NMDHSEM and SFNF, will work on getting you assistance from the appropriate agency.

Although work has been done in the burned area there is still a risk for potential flooding and debris flow. Communities and landowners in proximity to the HPCC burn scar should closely monitor alerts from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Albuquerque and sign up for emergency alerts with the local county or local emergency management agency.
