BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ILL, POSPONES ALL SEPTEMBER TOUR DATES

By Arnie Leshin
Superstar musician Bruce Springsteen has canceled all the remaining dates on his touring calendar for the month of September, with a statement on his social media saying he is suffering from peptic ulcer disease and has been advised by doctors to take the remainder of the month off for treatment.

Springsteen is being treated for the symptoms of peptic ulcer and the decision of his medical advisors is to just call off the rest of his September tour. The statement was followed by an apology and a promise to return that was attributed to him.

“Over here on E Street,” he said, “we are heartbroken to have to postpone these shows, and first we offer apologies to our fabulous Philadelphia fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick those shows up and then some, so we thank you for your understanding and support.
“We’ve been having a blast at our United States shows and are looking
forward to more great times. We will be back soon — Signed: “Love and God bless all, Bruce.”

He had been on the road since playing shows lasting as long as three hours, the most recent of which were concerts at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Aug. 30 through Sept. 3, a full eight months after what was to be the tour finale.

Springsteen will have longer than just the rest of this month to recuperate. He already began the month of October off as the tour was set to take a month-long break after Sept. 29. The next scheduled date on his calendar is Nov. 3 in Vancouver, BC. The routing then takes him and the E Street Band through Canada and onto the west coast before its scheduled wrap-up on Dec. 12in San Francisco.

His website listed the postponed concerts, saying ticketholders would receive updates about rescheduled shows that are —
Thursday, Sept. 7, Syracuse, N.Y., at JMA Wireless Dome.
Saturday, Sept. 9, Baltimore, Md., at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Tuesday, Sept. 12, Pittsburgh, Pa., at PPG Paints Arena.
